The Product Cart Activity feature displays a dynamic message showing how many people have added a product to their cart.
This creates social proof and urgency, encouraging users to take action.
You can configure it from:
Appearance → Customize → WooCommerce → Product Cart Activity
General Settings #
- Product Cart Activity – Enable or disable the feature.
Activity Mode #
- Simulated (Recommended) – Displays randomized values for marketing purposes.
- Session Based – Counts activity based on current user sessions.
- Real Orders – Uses actual order/cart data.
Activity Settings #
- Minimum Count – Minimum number displayed.
- Maximum Count – Maximum number displayed.
- Text Template – Customize the message using
[count]placeholder.
Example:
[count] people added this product to their cart
Display Settings #
- Display Position – Choose where the message appears:
- Before Add to Cart Button
- Under Product Title
- After Price
- Show Icon – Enable or disable an icon next to the message.
Tip: Use simulated mode for a consistent marketing effect, or real orders for authentic data-driven display.
