How to Configure the Header Cart Settings

The Cart settings allow you to control how the cart icon and functionality behave in the header.

You can configure these options from:

Appearance → Customize → Header → Cart

Cart Display Options #

  • Cart Type – Choose how the cart is displayed:
    • Popup – Opens a small dropdown cart.
    • Side Cart – Opens an off-canvas cart panel.
    • Cart Page – Redirects users to the cart page.
  • Cart Style – Select the cart icon style:
    • Greeting
    • Classic
    • Icon
    • Text
  • Cart Total – Show or hide the total price.
  • Cart Count – Show or hide the item count.

Cart Actions #

  • Checkout Button – Enable or disable the checkout button.
  • View Cart Button – Enable or disable the view cart button.
  • Subtotal – Show or hide the cart subtotal.

Side Cart Settings #

If you are using the Side Cart type, you can customize:

  • Side Cart Title – The heading of the side cart panel.
  • Side Cart Copyright Text – Footer text displayed in the side cart.

Enable in Header #

After configuring these settings, you need to enable the Cart feature from:

Appearance → Customize → Header → Header General

  • Cart – Enable this option to display the cart icon in the header.

You can display recommended products inside the cart to increase cross-selling opportunities.

  • Enable / Disable – Toggle recommended products visibility.
  • Recommended Products Count – Number of products to display.

To select which products will appear, go to:

Appearance → Customize → WooCommerce → Recommended Products

Tip: Using the Side Cart with recommended products can help improve average order value by encouraging additional purchases.
