Overview
The Gift Note feature allows customers to add a personalized message to their order when purchasing a product.
This is especially useful for gift purchases, enabling users to include custom notes for recipients.
You can configure it from:
Appearance → Customize → WooCommerce → Gift Note
General Settings #
- Product Gift Note – Enable or disable the feature.
- Input Type – Choose between:
- Textarea – For longer messages
- Text – For short messages
- Placeholder Text – Text displayed inside the input field.
- Label Text – Label shown above the field.
- Maximum Character Length – Limit the number of characters users can enter.
Display Conditions #
- Include Categories – Show the gift note field only for selected categories
- Exclude Categories – Hide it for selected categories
- Include Tags – Show only for selected tags
- Exclude Tags – Hide for selected tags
These options allow you to control where the gift note field appears.
Tip: Use the Gift Note feature for products commonly purchased as gifts, such as special occasions, holidays, or personalized items.
