How to Configure Age Verification

< 1 min read

The Age Verification feature requires users to confirm their age before accessing certain products or areas of your store.

This is useful for stores selling age-restricted products such as alcohol or adult items.

You can configure it from:

Appearance → Customize → WooCommerce → Age Verification

General Settings #

  • Age Verification – Enable or disable the feature.
  • Title – Main heading of the verification popup.
  • Description – Informational text explaining the requirement.

Buttons #

  • Allow Button Text – Text for the confirmation button (e.g. “Yes, I am over 18”).
  • Deny Button Text – Text for the rejection button (e.g. “No”).

Denied State #

  • Denied Title – Title shown when access is denied.
  • Denied Description – Message displayed to restricted users.

Display Conditions #

  • Include Categories – Apply verification only to selected categories
  • Exclude Categories – Exclude selected categories
  • Include Tags – Apply only to selected tags
  • Exclude Tags – Exclude selected tags

This allows you to control exactly where age verification is required.

Tip: Use category and tag conditions to apply age verification only where necessary, instead of across your entire store.
